EOC EU Office
The EOC EU OFFICE has the following objectives:
Monitor and disseminate information to the sports organisations it represents and to the European institutions, in particular the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of the EU, the European Court of Justice and the Committee of the Regions.
Impact the decision-making process at European level in any field relevant for the partners including:
- EU sports policy as such or issues indirectly connected to sport (internal market, competition, labour and social policy, education, youth, health, external relations, etc.)
- EU funding programmes directly or indirectly connected to sport
- EU studies
Promote the interests of its partners at European level. For this purpose, it will, among other duties, represent them in public events and whenever it is required (conferences, public debates, etc.) and it will also organise public events in order to promote their concerns.
In its endeavour to achieve these objectives, the EOC EU OFFICE will also cooperate with other European organisations such as the Council of Europe, and sports organisations that are not represented by the EOC EU OFFICE.
Consult the partners of the EOC EU OFFICE in EU matters such as political and legal questions and EU funding programmes.
Folker Hellmund, Michael Trinker and Melanie Strauch participate in the project.
